Wedding FAQ's

Where are you based and do you travel?

I’m based in Troon, Ayrshire but I travel all over mainland Scotland. I also love an overseas wedding.

What time do you start?

I normally start 2hrs before your ceremony to cover morning preparations.

Wedding FAQ's

How many photographs will we get?

A full day wedding has approx 500 hand edited images.

Do I need a second shooter/photographer?

For weddings with over 60 guests, I recommend a second photographer. This means both sets of morning preparations are covered (essential if you are not getting ready at the same location) Guest arrival is lovely to capture and you get a lot more candid images of your guests.

Baby & Family FAQ's

Can I see examples of your work?

Of course! It is important that you get a good feel for my style to make sure it’s a good match. You can view my baby & family work under the 'PORTFOLIO' tab

We have a large family, is there a limit to the number of people we can have?

I love photographing big families, often the photo session is a present for the grandparents to celebrate a special birthday or anniversary. I don’t charge extra for large family photo shoots, and sharing the cost of a package can be a very effective way of getting lovely memories for everyone involved.

Baby & Family FAQ's

What if my baby arrives early or late?

No problem at all. I know more than most that babies don't always arrive on time (my son was 15 days late!) I take on a limited number of babies each month so there is lots of room to move dates.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in Troon, Ayrshire but I’m always happy to travel to you. Locations out within a 25-mile radius of Ayrshire will incur travel costs for baby and family sessions.

Baby & Family FAQ's

Where will my session take place?

In your home. My at-home newborn photo shoots are designed to be as relaxing as possible. You don’t need to tidy the house or worry about mess or furniture, if things need to be rearranged or moved aside I can easily do this!

Occasionally (and weather dependant) we shoot outside at selected locations throughout the year.

How long will the session take?

1-2 hours. Your session is completely baby/family led and unrushed.

Virtual FAQ's

How does it all work?

A virtual session is a photoshoot through your iPhone/ iPad or Android device.

I will get you to install an app on your phone and I direct and take the photos through your phone as if i was there in person. The images are then uploaded in high resolution to my computer, and I edit them in my signature style.

I phone you through and app called 'Shutter'.

You need to secure your phone to something; I was advised a tin of beans and a hairband work best... we tried it and they were right! If you have someone in the house to hold the phone then we'll rope them in.

Where do I put my phone?

You need to secure your phone to something; a can of beans and a hairband work best, and If you have someone in the house to hold the phone then we'll definitely ask them to help so we can get the best angles.
